Leeds United are amongst a host of Championship clubs eyeing a move for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to the Sun.

The 21-year-old is one of the most promising young talents emerging from Old Trafford, and it seems he has caught the attention of a number of second tier sides, who're keen to take him on loan.

But, do Thomas Christiansen's Leeds United actually need the Man United man?

We discuss......

George Dagless

I'm not sure.

I think McTominay is a decent player but I think Leeds need to add experience to their side in January.

With all due respect, what does McTominay have experience wise in terms of a play-off race?

Chris Gallagher

Yes, they need a centre-midfielder and he fits the bill.

The United man is powerful, strong and will have a desire to play first-team football. He would be a great signing.

Adam Simeoni

McTominay is a fantastic young midfielder held in extremely high regard by the coaching staff at Old Trafford, and I feel he could certainly do a job at Leeds this season.

The club do have a rather packed midfield, but Christiansen will always be on the lookout for ways to improve his side, and the United man will do just that.

Alfie Burns

Leeds have plenty of options down the spine of their team, but it is fair to say more depth will be needed in January.

Bringing the right quality will also be key for Thomas Christiansen, which is why I believe McTominay would be a good addition, as he clearly has that quality.

Another bonus is the youngster’s versatility, with McTominay able to play in two or three different positions.
