Norwich City have been a revelation in the Championship this season, currently four points clear at the top of the table heading into the final eight matches of the season.
For players out on loan from Carrow Road, there must be a question mark over their Canaries future, as though youngsters could be gaining valuable match experience, for the older players manager Daniel Farke surely cannot deem them worthy of a promotion chasing squad.
This looks like the case for 27-year-old winger Yanic Wildschut who moved to Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan in the summer.
So, do you envisage Norwich looking to permanently offload Wildschut in the summer?
“I expect so, but I suppose it depends.
“If they go up and go down the Fulham route, maybe not.
“If they go up and stick with players who got them there, then yes.
“Personally, I’d keep him at the club.”
“Yes, it is hard to see where he fits into Norwich’s plans next season.
“If Farke’s side are playing Premier League football, Wildschut has no chance, and if they are still in the Championship they’ll be looking to build on this year, which has been a success without the winger.
“Parting ways is the best for both parties.”
“He won’t put on a Norwich shirt again.
“Norwich look on course to gain promotion this season, and there’ absolutely no way that Wildschut will be breaking into the starting XI.
“His departure would be the best move for both parties.”
“He clearly isn’t in Farke’s plans so I would imagine they will, yes.
“If the Norwich boss wanted Wildschut at the club, he would not have loaned him out – so having been sent to Bolton – there is little hope of a Canaries reprieve.
“He isn’t deemed necessary in the Championship for Norwich – so how on earth could he be just that in the Premier League?”
