Leeds United’s defeat to Newport County is making headlines this morning, with Thomas Christiansen’s side humiliated in the FA Cup by their Sky Bet League Two opposition, who were deserved 2-1 winners over the Whites yesterday.

It looked like it could be a comfortable afternoon for Leeds following Gaetano Berardi’s early strike, however, a Conor Shaughnessy own-goal and Shawn McCoulsky turned the tie around in Newport’s favour, handing the League Two outfit a passage to the fourth-round.

Plenty of Christiansen’s squad let him down yesterday, with a much-changed XI failing to stake a claim for a regular starting berth.

One of those was Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, with the on-loan Manchester United left-back failing to impress on his return to the starting XI.

The 20-year-old made way for Liam Cooper after an hour, in which he failed to make a positive impact at Rodney Parade.
