Plenty of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Facebook to react to the reports that head coach Sabri Lamouchi has rejected an approach to become the next manager of Watford.

Watford have been searching for a new manager after sacking Quique Sanchez Flores at the weekend and - according to French newspaper L’Equipe - the Premier League club have identified Lamouchi as a possible replacement for the Spaniard.

Lamouchi replaced Martin O'Neill as Forest head coach in the summer and has impressed massively since taking charge at the City Ground.

The Frenchman brought in several new players in the summer and has also impressed with the way he's been able to get the best out of the players who were already at the club - the likes of Matty Cash, Joe Worrall and Michael Dawson.

Lamouchi has never managed in the Premier League before, but - if recent reports are to be believed - he has turned down the chance to manage Watford, who are currently bottom of the table, six points adrift of safety.

Plenty of Forest fans were quick to react to the post on Facebook. Some supporters questioned why Lamouchi would want to leave the Reds to take charge of Watford, with the Hornets likely to be involved in a relegation battle this season.

Here is a look at some of the best responses from Forest fans...

Rob Skull Fretwell: He won't leave, he knows what he can do with the super reds and the Prem is in touching distance, so why go to a club that could be back in the Championship next season?

Tom Potten: Ron Atkinson is free if Watford want him. They can keep their mitts off Sabri though.

David Towlson: The only thing that niggles about this is clubs like Watford are much smaller than clubs of Forest's size but because they're in the Prem, they've always got that financial advantage over us plus... we need to get promoted ASAP or this situation is just going to repeat.

Scott Markham: Why would you want to go to a club with a manager sacking record like Watford? Nuno won’t go to Arsenal! Sabri is our man!

David Shelton: Surely a club can’t just approach a manager without asking his current club’s permission?

Tom Martin: Would be a backwards move for him.

Adrien King: The magic trick is getting into the Premier League - once that nut is cracked it gets easier.
