Sheffield Wednesday are enjoying a revival in form with the Owls now unbeaten in their last three league games.

Carlos Carvalhal's men do however sit in 11th place in the Championship table, after a mediocre start to the campaign.

The Owls have gone close but have failed to get over the final hurdle in the past few years in their quest for Premier League football.

There have been some Sheffield Wednesday players that have not been good enough, over the last five years, who has been the worst defender to play for them?

We take a look....

Adam Simeoni

Martin Taylor for sure.

Taylor did nothing upon his arrival from Watford, despite being made captain.

He made a handful of appearances before being shipped out on loan, and fell into obscurity upon leaving Hillsborough on a permanent basis.

Chris Gallagher

Michael Turner.

The Turner that played for Wednesday was certainly nowhere near the level of the player who played at Hull.

He was slow, clumsy and failed to impress at the Owls and unsurprisingly they didn't take him on after the short-term spell.

George Dagless

Kamil Zayatte.

The former Hull City man made only a handful of appearances during his two years with the Owls.

He never really got going and was released at the end of the 2014/15 season as Wednesday looked for more quality.

Alfie Burns

I’ll go for a member of the current playing squad and say Daniel Pudil, who just does not impress me whenever I see him play.

Left-back appears to be a weak area for Wednesday, with nobody able to hold down a regular position on the left-side of defence.

Pudil has been part of a reasonably successful side at Hillsborough, but his performances often leave a lot to be desired.
