Luton Town perhaps secured the most surprising result this midweek, beating Coventry City 5-0 at Kenilworth Road.

There have been some very memorable occasions under the lights at the Bedfordshire ground, but last night's comprehensive victory against a strong Coventry side would certainly rank high up in terms of one of the best.

Braces for Elijah Adebayo and Harry Cornick, with Luke Berry netting the other, pushed Luton into a five-goal lead with just 58 minutes on the clock.

Pipping Adebayo and Berry to the club's Man of the Match award, it was Cornick who deservingly took home the award.

The 26-year-old scored Luton's second of the evening with a header, a rarity that even he admitted to.

Cornick then teed up Berry for Luton's third, before his clever flick allowed Adebayo to convert the fourth.

The winger, who is thriving in a striker's role at present, had Berry to thank for Luton's fifth, with the midfielder stealing possession from Ben Sheaf, with Cornick's deflected effort looping into the top corner.

The 26-year-old joined The Hatters in 2017 from Bournemouth, scoring his fourth goal of the season against The Sky Blues.

Cornick only managed one goal for Luton last season, proving to be a revitalised figure in front of goal this time out.

Here, we take a look at how some Luton fans have reacted on Twitter to Cornick's performance against Coventry...
