Nottingham Forest currently sit 11th in the Sky Bet Championship table, after an incredibly inconsistent season which has seen them not draw a single game thus far.

Forest have won eight league games, and lost nine matches in a mixed season for Mark Warburton's men.

Warburton will undoubtedly have one eye on the January transfer window, and will be identifying potential additions to help them launch a genuine push for the top six in the league.

Should the Reds boss be eyeing experienced players to help complement the youthful squad that Forest currently have?

We take a look.....

Adam Simeoni

Warburton can either plan for now, and attempt to launch a promotion push, or he can plan for next season and the future by continuing to afford his young guns the opportunity to succeed.

I feel that Forest's squad isn't strong enough for the Premier League, so perhaps Warburton should continue to focus on youth this season, and prioritise next year as the year in which his side finally make their long-awaited top-flight return.

George Dagless

As long as their defensive minded.

I don't think Forest need experience up top. They've got Daryl Murphy up top who is an experienced player whilst the youngsters around them are all fairly established.

Perhaps some more defensively sound players just to help guide talents like Joe Worrall would be handy.

Chris Gallagher

He simply has to.

Forest are a young team and that's the reason for their frustrating inconsistency.

He does have the likes of David Vaughan and Daryl Murphy to call on but that's not enough. An experienced centre-back should be top of the January list and it could have a massive impact on the squad as a whole.

Alfie Burns

I think he has to, particularly to the defensive side of his team.

Forest are lacking an experienced goalkeeper, whilst an experienced central defender would also boost their chance of a top-six finish.

Inconsistency has been Forest’s problem all season, and a couple of experienced additions could give the youngsters in Warburton’s side the help they need to push for the play-offs.
