Leeds United had a fairly busy January as they looked to make a push for the play-offs bringing in Tyler Roberts, Adam Forshaw and Laurens De Bock on permanent deals for reasonable fees.

Despite that, many had felt the Whites should have done more given the sale of Chris Wood that brought in around £15m in the summer.

However, owner Andrea Radrizzani has defended himself, telling journalist Phil Hay that the club have spent around £20m since he took over and he also says the wage bill is £7m higher than it was under the previous regime.

As well as that, he revealed the deal for Wood will see Burnley pay in installments over three years, meaning that whilst Leeds did get £15m for him, they won't have received anywhere near that at this stage.

Although, it must be said that most deals are structured this way.

Radrizzani's comments brought a mixed response from the fans, with some questioning why he didn't mention the outgoings will also be paid in installments, with others saying he needn't have to explain himself. And, there were others who questioned how a more expensive side could get worse!
