Leeds United had a productive January transfer window, making an array of signings whilst offloading players whom Christiansen didn't deem worthy of being in the squad.

One player who isn't really featuring in Thomas Christiansen's first-team plans at the moment is striker Jay-Roy Grot.

The young forward has been utilised mainly in the under-23 setup, and it could be argued that a loan move away in January would have done him good.

Should Grot have followed Klich out of Elland Road on loan in January?

We discuss.....

Sam Preston

I'm surprised he didn't.

He isn't going to be the man to inspire a promotion push, so he might as well have gone somewhere to get some confidence back.

He might well be looking at Klich getting game-time and being away from the pressure of Leeds and getting envious as the season goes on.

George Dagless

He shouldn't be at the club.

A loan deal would have done Grot wonders and I think he's going to struggle for the rest of this season now.

The summer is certainly going to be an interesting one for him.

Chris Gallagher

Yes, without a doubt.

We've seen from the games he has played that unfortunately he isn't ready for the Championship now.

A loan would've been ideal, preferably to an English club so he could learn to adapt to the game here.

It's hard to see him featuring again this season.

Alfie Burns

Not for me.

Their situations were completely different, with Grot a young forward who at least has the potential to improve in the coming months and years.

Grot could’ve gone out on-loan, but for me, the best place for the striker to progress is in Leeds’ youth team.
