Portsmouth attacker Ronan Curtis has spoken about his surprise at the interest from a number of clubs who are monitoring the player.

Curtis, 22, has been in scintillating form for the League One leaders with six goals and six assists in 15 appearances for Pompey so far this season, and this has alerted clubs like Middlesbrough to his potential.

However, he ultimately brushed off talk of a move away from the south coast club, and suggested he's going to to stay at Fratton Park.

After these comments, can you see Boro realistically trying to sign Curtis?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

I don’t see Boro going for Ronan Curtis, I think they have a whole host of midfielders, both attacking and defensively minded, and he would just be another number.

He plays regularly Portsmouth and should he move to the northeast, then game time will be a lot harder to come by in all honesty.

Gary Hutchinson

He should steer clear of Boro.

The Pulis way is not going to be something Ronan Curtis shines in, chasing long balls and lost causes.

Boro might try to sign him but it would be a huge gamble on his part.

Sam Rourke

Boro need more wingers and I could see them going for Curtis still.

However, for his personal development, I don't think Middlesbrough is the right club for him under Tony Pulis - their style of play will not suit Curtis and could be detrimental to his progression.

He needs to stay at Portsmouth for the rest of this season at least.
