Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Stoke City striker Tyrese Campbell, according to a report from the Independent.

The 20-year-old has established himself in the Potters first team this season–making 16 Championship appearances and finding the net on four occasions.

He has been in hot form in recent weeks, finding the net three times in his last three appearances.

Campbell's impressive form appears to have turned some heads as, according to the Independent, a number of top-flight sides are interested in him.

The report claims that Wolves, Crystal Palace, Celtic, and Rangers have been monitoring the striker, whose current deal is set to expire in the summer.

So, would Campbell be a good signing for Nuno Espirito Santo's side and would he be near the first XI?

George Harbey

"Campbell is really starting to show what he’s all about for Stoke and has popped up with some really important goals of late–I can see him being a quality Premier League striker in the future.

“Unfortunately, at this moment in time, I don’t think he’s at the level required to fit in at Wolves and I would avoid moving to Molineux and leaving Stoke if I were in his shoes, to be honest.

“They are a massive club who play in Europe so that would obviously be an attractive proposition, but Raul Jiminez has put the bar so high up top and it would be so hard to see Campbell replace him in the near future.

“At his age, he needs to be playing week in, week out, and whilst he’s just coming into form under Michael O’Neill at Stoke, he should stay put and sign a new deal.”

Ben Lang

"Campbell would not have been attracting much interest during his stint out the Stoke side at the start of O'Neill's reign, but his three goals in the last three league games may have propelled interest in him.

"The forward possesses clear quality in front of goal and he is also showing plenty of potential with his overall gameplay, so you can see why Premier League clubs might be sniffing around him.

"However, I can't see Campbell getting anywhere near the Wolves starting line-up at present, with this meaning the striker might be better served moving elsewhere this transfer window.

"The Midlands club should be targeting players who can immediately compete for a place in the first team, and I'm not so sure Campbell fits the bill at this stage in his career."

Sam Rourke

"I like the look of this.

"Campbell has shown glimmers of real promise and he has the attributes to become an important player in the future, his pace, dribbling and finishing abilities are impressive for a 20-year-old.

"The pathway to the first-team at Wolves would not be straightforward though, with Raul Jiminez, Diogo Jota and co. firmly cemented as frequent starters in Santo's XI, so you feel this would be more of a 'project' signing.

"If Wolves did sign him, I'd expect them to loan him back out to a Championship club to help him develop and mature as a player, as there is no guarantee of immediate first-team opportunities at Molineux."
