Scottish midfielder John McGinn has been one of the few bright sparks in an Aston Villa season that has so far failed to deliver, after a fine run of form this season following his summer move from Hibernian.
The 24-year-old’s form is catching the attention of bigger fish with Leicester City keen on taking the Scot to the Premier League in the summer, according to a report in the Mirror.
But how do you think McGinn will be feeling, amid interest from Leicester?
“I’d be wanting to stay put with Villa.
“There’s no doubt that he can play at Premier League level, but I think he should remain patient for now.
“Villa will definitely be challenging for promotion next season and he should look to stay with Dean Smith’s side before making any rash decisions which could harm his development.”
“He’s a good player and surely the lure of the top flight is too much for him.
“Villa aren’t going there and with Rodgers resuming his interest from his Celtic stay, McGinn will feel loved too.
“He should seriously consider a move.”
“He might be thinking it’s time to move on – I doubt he moved to Villa for the rest of his career.
“The Championship club is a stepping stone to better things, and with Leicester, he will be hoping concrete offers come from it.
“He’s been out of form in recent weeks and could be thinking himself lucky to be linked with the Premier League side.”
