Bolton Wanderers snatched a valuable point in the fight against relegation last night, coming from 1-0 down to earn a point against fellow strugglers Reading.

In the pre-match build up manager Phil Parkinson had challenged his strikers to stand up and be counted, urging someone to stake a claim for a permanent starting place under Sammy Ameobi.

The point puts further daylight between Bolton and the bottom three, courtesy of Birmingham's defeat at home to Middlesbrough and whilst they're far from safe, fans were delighted to see former Royal Adam Le Fondre on the score sheet.

The striker has been in and out of the team recent and has struggled desperately for goals with just two to his name all season. However, following his goal he was delighted himself, tweeting that he was proud to play for Bolton.

The love is reciprocated, with many Trotters fans calling for the striker to play every week.

In the end, both sets of fans had positive things to say about the popular striker after he failed to celebrate in front of his old club's fans too.
