Stoke City boss Nathan Jones has admitted that he is unsure whether Badou Ndiaye is mentally prepared to play in the Championship after he failed to secure a move away this summer.

The Senegal international joined the Potters in January 2018 and despite impressing individually, he couldn't do enough to stop the side suffering relegation from the Premier League.

Ndiaye appeared to have little appetite to helping the club back up though, and he was loaned back to former club Galatasaray just over 12 months ago for the remainder of the previous campaign.

Therefore, he returned to Staffordshire for pre-season, although he has yet to play for Stoke since coming back.

And, Jones opened up on that today, telling the club's media that he isn't sure the player is in the right frame of mind to help the struggling side.

That prompted a mixed response from the Stoke fans, with some feeling that his undoubted quality means he should be thrown into help the side up the table, whilst others don't like his attitude.

Here we look at some of the responses on Twitter...
