Garry Monk has not had the start to life at Middlesbrough he probably envisaged.

Blessed with excellent resources and a hefty amount of money to spend on new players, Boro were expected to be competing in the higher echelons of the Championship table from the off.

However, the club currently languish in 13th spot after a sluggish start to the season which has seen them seriously struggle to hold down any sort of consistency.

Pressure will undoubtedly be mounting on manager Garry Monk, and he'll need to start winning games ASAP.

Is it time the former Leeds boss to start getting worried about his job?

We take a look....

George Dagless

He really should worry.

The period where results are perhaps tolerated a bit more for a new manager has gone now and Monk still finds himself not able to get the club winning.

They looked to be stirring earlier on in the campaign but that's gone flat and a few Boro fans are starting to get a little restless.

He needs a win, soon.

Alfie Burns

Middlesbrough’s board are usually quite patient with their managers, so I don’t think Monk is under any real pressure at this current time, but he must start picking up results quickly.

Boro should be competing with Wolves at the top of the table, particularly with the money they spent over the summer.

Monk’s squad are massively underachieving this season, and whilst there might not be huge pressure on him at the minute, things could quickly change if results don’t pick up.

Chris Gallagher

He most definitely should be worried.

Steve Gibson is well-known for his patience, but it has to be running out.

Boro invested heavily and let's be honest, they expected automatic promotion.

That looks a long way off now and the signs aren't promising. Monk has one of the best squads in the league, yet they are 13th.

Things need to change - quickly.
