West Bromwich Albion are reportedly looking to sign AFC Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings on loan this month, according to the Daily Mail.

The 25-year old has become surplus to requirements at the Vitality Stadium having made just two starts in the Premier League for Eddie Howe's men this season.

With the Cherries also closing in on the signing of Chris Mepham from Brentford, it is reported that the Baggies, as well as their West Midland rivals Aston Villa, are looking to land the towering defender.

Here, we discuss whether Mings would be a good signing for Darren Moore's Albion...

George Harbey

"Mings could be a fantastic signing for West Brom.

"He hasn't played an awful lot of games in the last few years due to injuries, but possesses real quality that could be massive for Albion in their push for promotion.

"He can play at either left-back or centre-half, which could suit the Baggies' three-at-the-back system."

Louie Chandler

"He really is not needed.

"With the likes of Craig Dawson, Ahmed Hegazi and Kyle Bartley at their disposal, they should be absolutely fine at the back.

"Those three are Premier League standard defenders so bringing in Mings does not make sense."

Jacob Potter

"It would be a smart bit of business.

"For all the attacking talent that West Brom have, their defensive frailties are letting them down this season.

"Mings is proven at Championship level and would be an excellent addition to the Baggies squad as they battle for an immediate return to the Premier League."
