Football League World's Reading fan pundit Harry Chafer has warned young striker Danny Loader against moving to Manchester United following recent reports.

Sky Sports News reported the Red Devils' interest earlier this week but Chafer believes that it would be a silly move as far as helping his development as a player is concerned.

"No," the regular punter told Football League World bluntly when asked whether or not it would be smart move for Loader.

"He would more than likely go straight into Man United's reserve team and he has already proven himself at that level by excelling in the Reading U23's, scoring goals and putting in fantastic performances. He has already proved he is too good for Under 23's football.

"What he now has to do is prove himself at first team level and the best chance he has of doing that in my opinion is by signing a new contract at Reading and pushing to get into our first team.

"He's got the talent, he just needs to prove he has the determination, mindset and commitment. That all remains to be seen.

"Financially it might be a smart move, but certainly not football wise - and Loader will have to choose which one he prioritises."

Can you name every top Reading goalscorer from the last 15 seasons?

The 19-year-old has made just four first-team appearances so far this season but is yet to find the back of the net, although he has notched three in two for the reserves.

In total during his time with the Royals he has made 29 first-team appearances and scored just once, but that has not put off potential suitors from registering their interest.

According to the MailOnline, Wolves also remain interested in signing Loader as well, having previously come close during the summer, so a bidding war could be about to ensue.
