Nottingham Forest manager Martin O'Neill will be plotting a top six finish at the very least at the City Ground next season, after missing out in the campaign just gone.

With it being the summer, plans will start to be formulated for O'Neill's squad, and there are likely to be players moved on and shipped out of the City Ground, to make room for potential new recruits.

One player who could be heading out of the City Ground exit door again, is midfielder Jorge Grant, who has spent loans away at Notts County, Luton Town and Mansfield Town over the last two years since arriving at the club in August 2014, who has both Oxford United and Lincoln City considering a move for him, as exclusively revealed on Football League World.

So should Grant be kept, loaned out or sold by Forest this summer?

We discuss........

Tommy Joyce

"With one-year left on his deal, there isn't much point of keeping Grant around.

"The 24-year-old has been at Forest for a while now and it's clear that he's not going to reach the first team due to his lack of appearances and loan spells in League One and Two.

"There are some good moves out there for him, with reports suggesting that Lincoln and Oxford are interested in him.

"A deal for any of those two clubs should suit all parties - both clubs have good squads in League One and he has an opportunity to shine there."

George Harbey

"He needs to leave the City Ground for good, as it has just never worked out for him during his time at Forest.

"He obviously had a magnificent loan spell with Notts County in the 2017/18 campaign, scoring goals and producing plenty of assists for the Magpies, but he was brought back down to Earth last season.

"He was a bit-part player for Luton and failed to make a massive impact at Mansfield, and ultimately he hasn’t done enough to impress O’Neill.

"A permanent move to League One would be best for him."

Ben Lang

"I think Forest should sell Grant on this summer. I can't see him fitting in O'Neill's plans next season.

"He has two loan spells at Luton and Mansfield last season and now needs to settle down at an important stage of his career.

"O'Neill has not yet said anything to suggest that Grant is part of his plans next season, so I think the midfielder would be better off playing somewhere he will get regular football.

"He has shown glimpses of his quality so far in his career, but now needs somewhere he can show it regularly. A move to a League One club could be best suited to his development."

Chris Gallagher

"He has no future at Forest, so a transfer would make sense.

"After a fantastic spell with Notts County, Grant hasn't done enough with Luton or Mansfield since, with his latest spell with the Stags coming in League Two.

"So, how can Forest have him in the first-team when he didn't shine in the fourth-tier?

"At 24, he needs to be playing regularly as well but that's not going to happen at the City Ground when you consider the options O'Neill has. A summer permanent transfer is inevitable."
