Pierre-Michel Lasogga is due to return to Hamburg when his loan spell expires at the end of the season.

The German striker joined the club with high expectations, but has mostly failed to live up to them with ten goals in 30 appearances.

Chris Wood left in the summer, so Lasogga was given the hard task of replacing his goal output; he scored 27 goals in the league last season and even managed one this season before he left to join Burnley.

Being without a prolific striker has hindered Leeds which is part of the reason why they find themselves in 14th rather than challenging for a play-off spot which was the pre-season expectation. Kemar Roofe is the only other player with numbers close to Lasogga because he also has ten goals, which highlights the goalscoring issues at the club.
