For all of the positives that Jack Ross has to be pleased about, there is one concern that will be hugely infuriating for him to deal with in his first season in charge of the League One side.

Sunderland are currently 2nd in the League One table, and are just four points behind league-leaders Portsmouth.

But the Black Cats lost ground on Pompey as they rescued a point against Walsall in a hugely frustrating game for both Jack Ross and the Sunderland supporters.

Ross' side were reduced to ten men due to the ill-disciplined Max Power, but they fought back valiantly from two goals down to share the spoils late on.

The dismissal was Power's third in just eight league matches which is quite remarkable reading.

But with the midfielder now facing a five game ban for this weekend's red card, could Jack Ross be tempted to drop Power from the squad when he returns?

We discuss....

Jay Taylor:

He is certainly becoming a liability.

One of two throughout the season is probably forgivable, but when it is three straight red cards in eight matches it becomes a joke.

Jack Ross should certainly consider other options this time to stop Max Power playing and potentially reducing the team's numbers.

It shouldn't be a permanent decision, just for now so that Power can reflect on his actions.

Gary Hutchinson:

They should be sending him back to Wigan.

He's a liability, yes he's supposed to be one of they key figures there.

I don't think they need him anymore.

The game is up Power, back to Wigan you go.

George Harbey:

He should definitely be dropped.

Power may have real quality, but he's such a liability- three red cards in eight matches is absolutely ridiculous and is a real rarity.

He needs to be taught a lesson.
