Derby County have had their promotion chances knocked following back-to-back 1-0 defeats, the latest coming against Nottingham Forest on Monday night in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Speaking on Sky Sports Football's live coverage of the match pundit Gary Rowett was quick to pull up Rams defender Jayden Bogle as being at fault for the goal.

Rowett said on Sky's live TV coverage: "Well, I think if you look at Jayden Bogle's body position and then secondly his decision to head the ball back into an area that kept the ball alive for Forest to get something out of," adding "He's got to really open himself up a little bit earlier and head the ball maybe for a corner or out the other side that gives you that respite to defend again."

So in light of Rowett's comments should Bogle be dropped for Derby's trip to Villa at the weekend?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"He needs a spell out of the team.

"Bogle has been impressive this season, but has struggled in recent weeks, which will be a concern for Frank Lampard.

"Andre Wisdom is more than capable of coming into the starting XI in place of Bogle and deserves a shot."

Gary Hutchinson

“I’m not convinced he’s top of the table material.

“It’s great to see these young players being given a chance, but he’s not impressed recently.

“Derby need to shake things up and they’d be wise to start with him.”

“Poor performances are to be expected from a young player as he continues to grow and learn his craft.

“Having a player like Andre Wisdom in the squad to come in is a godsend and could add more experience at the back for the Rams.

“Bogle needs to be protected as with the form he is in, now could be the time to make a switch.”
