Nottingham Forest are the definition of inconsistent.

This season, Mark Waburton's Forest side have won eight games and lost eight games in the Sky Bet Championship.

They've looked seriously impressive at times, yet at other times, they look bog standard.

Warburton has a plethora of attacking options at his disposal, and one player who'll undoubtedly be desperate to play more is Zach Clough.

The writers here at FLW have issued their verdicts on Clough's season so far....

Chris Gallagher

It just hasn't happened for him.

A combination of players in front of him playing well and poor form has seen Clough restricted to mainly substitute appearances.

He has undoubted quality and needs to keep working, he will still have a big role to play this season.

George Dagless

Confusing - I feel sorry for him.

Clough has lots of talent but he's barely played for Forest this year and you wonder just why that is the case.

Kieran Dowell has been very good and so that is part of the reason but you'd have though Clough would get more of a chance to shine than he has.

It's been an odd time for him with the Reds so far.

Adam Simeoni

Needs to be better.

I really like Clough.

The youngster is extremely talented, but he needs to add consistency to his game.

He faces a lot of competition in the Forest midfield, and needs a solid run of games to prove what he's all about. I'm certain he will come good.

Alfie Burns

He must be so frustrated!

Clough has fantastic ability, but is just not getting a chance under Warburton this season.

The forward can bring goals and assists, and would be valuable to most Championship clubs.

The way things are going, he could be pushing for a move in January.
