It is being reported that Norwich are in the frame to sign 20-year-old attacking midfielder Anthony Evans from Everton on loan, according to the Sun on Sunday (Oct 14, Page 61).

Evans was previously on loan at Morecambe at the end of the 2016/17 season when he made 14 appearances scoring two goals.

His form then for the Toffees’ Under-23s, under the stewardship of David Unsworth, saw him handed the captaincy and he was given a new contract last February until the summer of 2020.

He suffered a knee injury in March, scuppering any chance of a loan move in the summer, but this season he has made seven appearances for Everton’s second string, scoring four goals.

So would Evans be right for Norwich?

Jacob Potter

The midfielder made 14 appearances for Morecambe last season as they survived last season.

Another one of the fringe players that might not make the grade at Everton so a move to Norwich could be an excellent move for the youngster.

Norwich boss Daniel Farke has already shown that he can develop top English talent this season with the emergence of Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis so Evans could be tempted to make the move to the Canaries.

Jay Taylor

He is a real talent at Everton and is a midfielder that Norwich could use and develop through the season.

Antony Evans is highly regarded at the Premier League side, and a move to the Championship could be a good move.

Norwich are doing relativity well and could do with an extra midfielder in their ranks - so there would be no hard in adding the young man to their squad for the remainder of the season.

George Dagless

Potentially.

Everton have some good young players but they can't all play and Evans could be looking at a move away.

The Canaries have some good young players and Evans would fit in with that.

Gary Hutchinson

He’s an exciting young player who looks to be struggling to force and Everton chance but other than that it is hard to say.

A brief spell at Morecambe is all anyone has to go on.

If he’s given a chance to shine, he may well be a decent signing.
