‘He looks good’ – Plenty of QPR fans want to see this man come in for potentially departing ace

Queens Park Rangers have been linked with Dundee United’s Lawrence Shankland.

Shankland, 24, has been tipped with a move to the West London club throughout the first-half of the season, but now the move looks like it could materialise.

QPR could lose Nahki Wells this week. The Bermudan is potentially set to be recalled by Burnley with Bristol City reportedly preparing a bid for the striker.

Mark Warburton then will need to re-bolster his attack before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.

Shankland could be a fine addition and a like-for-like replacement for Wells – he’s scored 25 goals in 25 games in all competitions for Dundee United this season, and has even earned his first Scotland cap and scored his first Scotland goal.

Who is this QPR flop?

QPR fans have had their say on the potential signing on Facebook, and here are some of the best reactions:

Lee Carters: Only if he fits into our wage structure, we can’t go back to the dark days again.

Lee Perrotton: Looks like another (Conor) Washington – good at lower-level football but will he cut it in the Championship…

Jim Welburn: He looks good.

Josh Simmonds: Yes!

Tom Mellow: He’ll go somewhere else

James McGill: Pretty sure if we give him ten times what he’s earning now he will not be on of our top earners. Wells 45k per week.

Barry Wheeler replying to above: If that is his wage (which I’d be very surprised if it is), we’re only paying half at most.
