West Brom moved joint top of the Championship table, as they ran out 2-1 winners against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

Football League World's West Brom fan pundit, Sarah Rudge issued her thoughts on the win, and was pleased with her side's performance on the day.

"I definitely think the win was deserved but Luton did impress me in the first-half. They had good possession of the ball at times, created some decent opportunities and limited us well in the first period.

"In the second-half however, our substitutions completely changed the game and we could have scored more than the two goals.

"I knew it would be a tight game with Luton having nothing to lose this season and they will give plenty of teams a game this campaign."

One man that certainly made a positive impact on the day was Grady Diangana, who netted a brace in just five minutes, after coming on as a second-half substitute.

Rudge issued high-praise for the West Ham loanee, and outlined his attributes going forward for the Baggies.

"Diangana was fantastic. In the first-half we were lacking a real threat out wide with misplaced and overhit crosses and with Edwards having played in midweek, he perhaps looked a little leggy.

"Diangana came on and made an immediate impact. He was direct, pacy, full of energy and a box of tricks. He looks a real talent."

The West Brom fan pundit is keen to see Bilic hand the midfielder his first league start against Reading this week, in what could be a tricky test for Diangana and his team-mates.

"For me, he has to be. Edwards has done well since the start of the season but with this being his first season as a regular starter he may need a rest.

"Of course Diangana could also come in for Matty Phillips on the opposite flank, as he also looked a little off the pace against Luton and with his injury record it might be wise to also leave him as an option from the bench."

Rudge stated that Bilic could make changes to his side against Reading, and singled out some of the players that didn't perform to a high standard against Luton at the weekend.

"I'd say Edwards and Phillips were probably the most disappointing.

"It would be unfair to say they should be definitely dropped as they’ve both had good starts to the season but they did look a little tired at times and it was no surprise when both were withdrawn.

"We’ve got good options on the wing now with new signings Diangana, Pereira and Willock so it wouldn’t hurt to give the others a chance."
