Aston Villa's season is in danger of collapsing with Dean Smith's side down in 10th place in the Championship, nine points off the play-off places with only 13 matches remaining.

With his side without a win in four matches, Smith will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways when they travel to Stoke City at the weekend.

But what does Villa's current poor form, mean for players like forward Jonathan Kodjia? Should the 29-year-old be demanding a move in the summer?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

“I could see Kodjia becoming the leading man at Villa Park again in the summer.

“If we are honest, Abraham will be off, so that leaves a vacancy in this squad.

“Kodjia has the qualities to step back up, he just needs time in his favoured position.”

Gary Hutchinson

“No player should demand a move, not if they’ve proven little.

“He’s not playing, but he’s not impressed when he has.

“If it were Assombalonga at Boro, maybe, but Kodjia still owes Villa a debt.”

George Harbey

"Absolutely.

"It’s been a terrible season for him and it was always going to be hard to impress whilst Abraham is on fire.

"He looks lost out wide and will be feeling unhappy."

Jay Taylor

“Constantly being played out of position, not getting consistent game time – it’s been a frustrating time for Kodjia this season.

“I think before demanding a move away or asking for an Aston Villa exit, he should talk to Dean Smith.

“Tammy Abraham’s loan finishes in the summer, and the striker should ask for some assurances before deciding on his future with a place up-front available for next season as it stands.”

Jacob Potter

"He’ll look to force a move away if he wants regular game time.

"Kodjia is far too good of an option to have sat on the substitutes bench and he needs to be eyeing a move elsewhere in the near future.

"He is wasting his career at Villa Park.

"Surely it’s a no brainer?"
