After a season of immense disappointment, Darren Moore is preparing his team for a promotion push back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

One man who could potentially be a big help in that push is winger Matty Phillips who played 30 times for the Baggies last season, scoring twice and assisting two more as well.

He is somebody who is well accustomed to Championship football as well, having made over 130 appearances in the division across spells at Blackpool and QPR.

That experience would be hugely helpful to Moore and West Brom... if they can hold onto him.

Phillips is a wanted man this summer with Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Middlesbrough all interested in bringing in the 27-year-old with interest set to intensify as the close of the transfer window looms.

So is it inevitable that Phillips will leave the Hawthorns this summer?

We discuss...

Gary Hutchinson

It looks that way, but you never really know in football.

He might stay put, set the Championship alight and earn WBA three times what he's worth now.

Or he might not.

Jay Williams

I'm not sure it is set in stone but he seems to be attracting a lot of attention.

And, at the right price, it could work for West Brom too as they could secure a cheaper replacement.

The Baggies' transfer policy has been sensible so far this summer and I'd trust Darren Moore to make the right call on Phillips' future.

Sam Rourke

Absolutely - He is too good for the Championship.

His explosive power and pace make him a real weapon on the wing, and there'll be plenty of Premier League clubs keeping tabs on him.

This is only a matter of time.

Louie Chandler

It seems more and more likely by the day.

Phillips has proven himself to be more than capable at Premier League level and there has and will continue to be a lot of interest.

West Brom do not really need to sell him, but if a big enough bid comes in that could help the whole squad it will be hard to resist.
