Derby County crashed to a 1-0 defeat away to Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon with winger Tom Lawrence and manager Frank Lampard both seeing red.

Lawrence was given his marching orders just before the hour after a rash tackle on Richie Towell just minutes before the Millers took the lead.

The Rams boss was also shown a red card for arguing with the fourth official over what he felt were unjust penalty decisions in the match.

But it was not Lawrence nor Lampard who were the targets for the Rams fans after the match.

Their attention was caught more by the returning performance of experienced midfielder Tom Huddlestone who was making his first Championship appearance of the season.

Whilst the fans were not exactly blaming him for the defeat, it was clear that the midfielder's lethargic display summed up what went wrong for the Rams.
