‘He is not good enough’ – Plenty of Nottingham Forest fans react to player’s exit

Nottingham Forest manager Martin O’Neill has wasted no time in reshaping his squad ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, as the Reds look to ignite a push for promotion to the Premier League.

The Irishman has brought in just the solitary signing so far, with Sammy Ameobi arriving on a free transfer following his release from crisis club Bolton Wanderers.

There have also been plenty of outgoings too, as O’Neill looks to get rid of the deadwood left at his disposal by Aitor Karanka last season.

Hillal Soudani, who spent the majority of last season on the sidelines with injury, has left the club to join Olympiacos, with Apostolos Vellios now the latest player to depart the City Ground.

The Greek forward signed for Forest under Philippe Montanier in 2016, but endured a tough time on Trentside, scoring just eight goals in a total of 45 outings for the Reds.

But after a decent loan spell with Waasland-Beveren last term, the former Everton striker has now sealed a move to Atromitos, leaving plenty of Forest fans with a lot to say after his departure.

Here, we take a look at Forest fans’ reactions to Vellios’ departure…
