Leeds United loanee Jack Clarke could be on his way out of Elland Road, having had limited first-team action under Marcelo Bielsa, with his only appearances for the Whites coming in the Carabao Cup.

According to Sporting Life (via Nottinghamshire Live), Clarke is likely to be recalled by Spurs in January, with a couple of Championship clubs including Nottingham Forest expressing an interest in taking him for the second half of the season.

So would Clarke be a good fit at Nottingham Forest? Is he really needed at the City Ground?

We discuss.........

Chris Gallagher

"He is exactly what they need.

"Forest have had a fine start to the season but they are lacking depth out wide and bringing in a winger has to be a priority for Lamouchi in the New Year.

"Whilst they might like someone who scores more goals, Clarke would still be a fantastic option.

"He can play down either flank and would provide the Reds with someone who can beat players effortlessly and give them a spark that they sometimes lack in the final third.

"Even though his season so far with Leeds hasn't gone to plan, we have to remember just how good he was in the previous campaign and if he could rediscover that form then he has the ability to inspire Forest to a top six finish at least."

Josh Cole

“Although there is no doubting that Clarke possesses an abundance of talent, Forest may find it beneficial to steer clear of the teenager in the January transfer window.

“Since moving back to Elland Road on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, the winger has failed to make any inroads on Leeds United’s starting eleven.

“When he did play for the Whites last season, Clarke was not able to deliver the goods on a consistent basis in the Championship which ought to act as a warning for Forest.

“Given that the Reds already have the likes of Joe Lolley, Albert Adomah and Sammy Ameobi at their disposal, it could be argued that they should focusing on strengthening their squad in other areas, such as up-front for example.”

"No, I don't think he would be a good fit at Nottingham Forest under Lamouchi.

"Clarke has endured a massive fall of grace since picking up that injury against Middlesbrough last season, and he simply hasn't played enough games for Marcelo Bielsa's side this term.

"I think it would be best for him to be recalled by Spurs and be sent out on loan to a lower-half Championship side, not a team fighting for promotion like Forest.

"Forest have plenty of quality wingers already on their books, and he's not anywhere near the level of Joe Lolley, Albert Adomah or Sammy Ameobi - it would be a risky signing."
