Swansea City have enjoyed a steady start to the season under new boss Graham Potter, who finds his side in 10th place with 12 points, some six points off early league leaders Leeds United.

Potter has not been shy of ringing the changes in his line-up so far this season, but midfielder Tom Carroll seems to have secured a starting spot having been selected six times in the Championship so far this season.

Here our team give their views on Carroll's early season form.

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

He’s done well, hasn’t he?

Swansea haven’t been a bad side, they’ve settled nicely, and Carroll is a part of that.

He hasn’t stood out for me, but he’s consistent.

George Dagless

Solid enough.

He's a reliable presence in midfield that gets Swansea playing.

Graham Potter has looked to take the Swans back to their old style and it looks as though it is paying off with Carroll right in the middle of the park.

Jay Taylor

Tom Carroll has been unassuming this season, going under the radar but clocking up an average pass success rate of 80.5 per cent.

He is a player who is far from spectacular but does the job.

Having started the season he finds himself coming off the bench and he could do more to start more regularly.

Unassuming and on the whole, ineffective in the grand scheme of things - he must do better.
