Liam Bridcutt is in contention to return to the Nottingham Forest starting eleven tonight to face Reading, but should Karanka place him back in the team?

We discuss....

Sam Preston

I'd bring him back in for tonight.

Forest have tried to throw in a host of new midfielders all at once and they haven't quite gelled.

It's a huge game tonight and that means it isn't really one for building cohesion or getting players used to each other - it's all about three points.

George Dagless

He has to start.

Bridcutt is a top player and with Forest still needing to turn things around he needs to come back into the side.

He's the type of player Karanka should like and I think he makes them stronger when he's in the side.

Chris Gallagher

I'd keep him on the bench.

Ben Watson and Jack Colback are both capable players at this level so they should be given time to build a partnership.

I don't think Bridcutt offers anything more than either of those two, so he will have to be patient for the next few games.

Alfie Burns

For me, Bridcutt remains amongst the best defensive midfielders in the Championship, and partnering him alongside a Ben Watson or Jack Colback would give Forest a perfect base.

Karanka hasn’t rushed Bridcutt back into the starting XI, but tonight could be the night he introduces him, with Forest desperate for a victory.
