Leeds United are maintaining their pace in the race for promotion to the Premier League with just nine games left of the Championship season.

An impressive and comfortable 3-0 win away to Reading on Tuesday night was the latest positive result and some eyes may just be beginning to dart to next season already.

One player who is unlikely to be a part of any Premier League campaign for the Whites is left-back Laurens De Bock, who the club are reportedly preparing to ship-out, according to Voetbal.

After struggling to adapt to the pace and intensity of the Championship season following his move from Brugge, he was shipped out on loan to KV Oostende for the current campaign.

But even there he has only been a bit-part player, making just 13 league appearances, making it unlikely that the Whites will recoup much of the £1.5million spent on him.

So, is this the right move from the Whites?

We discuss…

Gary Hutchinson

“Absolutely.

“He’s not featured all season and doesn’t look likely to get a chance either.

“If he’s surplus to requirements, he has to go.

“That’s football.”

Jay Taylor

“Yeah his time is up.

“I feel moving him on is the best move for all parties involved.

“He was never going to be a part of Bielsa’s team.

“Recouping some sort of money for him is in the best interest of the club.”

Jacob Potter

“It's the best move for both parties.

“De Bock is never going to be getting anywhere near the starting XI for Leeds next season.

“It's good to see Bielsa looking to move on the deadwood ahead of a potential Premier League return in the near future.”
