Alan Judge had a torrid campaign during the 2017/18 season, missing the first half of the campaign with a double leg break that kept him out of the whole of the 16/17 season as well.

He only broke into the squad at the end of January but by then had fallen out of favour and was limited to substitute appearances.

Judge was an ever-present in the Bees' squad during the 2015/16 season and the 2015/15 campaign when they made the Championship playoffs.

So it is clear that Judge has quality at Championship level and at 29 may well be keen to keep playing first-team football, which could well mean moving away.

One team who could benefit from his services is Sheffield Wednesday.

Jos Luhukay has been slow to act in the transfer window so far with no new signings coming through the Hillsborough doors.

He seems to be happy with his squad, but is Judge someone they should consider moving for?

We discuss...

Chris Gallagher

Yes, he'd got the creativity that they lack.

The Owls are pretty predictable going forward, aside from Fernando Forestieri, but Judge would change that.

He's got good technique, can pick a pass and would add a lot to the team.

George Dagless

He's a solid player, but unspectacular and I'm not sure that is entirely what Wednesday need.

If I were an Owls fan and this link came up on my news feed, I'd be wholly underwhelmed.

Gary Hutchinson

It's worth a look.

The Owls need players but they can't spend too much so they need to be clever.

Judge, when fit, is a stronger performer so it's worth a look.

Jay Taylor

Sheffield Wednesday should look to bring anyone into their team this summer.

Manager Jus Luhukay said he is happy with his squad, but you can’t stand still — you need to improve.

Alan Judge would be a perfect fit for the Owls who lacked a little a bit of bite in the midfield last season.

Judge’s passing, intercepting and getting his foot on the ball to drive forward are all attributes he possesses that Wednesday needs.
