West Bromwich Albion have had a solid start to the season under Darren Moore and are currently fourth with 14 points from eight played and well in touch with pacesetters Leeds United.

Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazi has been one of Moore's choices at centre-back, starting every match for the Baggies so far this season providing a regular presence in the back four.

Our team give their thoughts on Hegazi's season so far...

Gary Hutchinson

West Brom’s troubles seem to originate from the back, which is where Hegazi plays, so he can’t be talked up too much.

Their fans weren’t happy with him the other night and that was after a 4-2 win.

I’m not sure the Baggies have got it quite right at the back yet, time will tell.

George Dagless

Perhaps it's not gone how he'd have liked.

West Brom's defence has not been as good as it should be when you look at some of the players they have.

They've been dug out by their attack and Hegazi and co. will want to start shutting up shop more.

Jay Taylor

He has been more solid than spectacular.

Having been an ever-present for Darren Moore’s side this season he gives continuity and consistency in a West Brom defence that has needed that badly since their relegation.

Clearances from opposition attacks have been his highlight rather than last ditch tackles or interceptions but he is doing a job and it is working so far.
