Liam Cooper is looking set to miss a considerable chunk of the remainder of the season, with Leeds United’s captain struggling with an injury picked up in last week’s defeat to Wolves.

Paul Heckingbottom’s captain has a dead leg, with Gaetano Berardi deputising for Cooper with the armband against Reading on Saturday afternoon.

Jansson, 27, is a hugely popular figure around Elland Road, but there has been plenty of calls both for and against the defender to be handed the armband by Heckingbottom.
