Marcelo Bielsa takes his Leeds United side to Villa Park this weekend with the Whites looking to record a sixth consecutive victory.

Leeds are finally getting some first-team players back and Bielsa has a couple of selection headaches ahead of the clash with Aston Villa.

Amongst those is whether to include Jack Clarke in the starting XI.

The 18-year-old flyer has impressed from the bench in recent weeks and is now knocking on the door of the starting line-up.

Is this weekend finally his time?

We discuss…

Jay Taylor

With Samuel Saiz off, I think now is the perfect opportunity to bring in the youngster to stake a claim for further inclusion from the start.

Since bursting onto the scene, he has been a breath of fresh air and performed well, well enough that the Elland Road faithful have stood up and taken notice of his impressive displays.

It would be remiss of Marcelo Bielsa to consider any other option.

Gary Hutchinson

It might be nice to see him get a start, yes.

I’m not usually one for proclaiming there’s time for a player to make a start when his side are top with him emerging from the bench.

But, ahead of the transfer window, it might be nice to see him given a run out and assessed properly.

Alfie Burns

He gives Leeds something different and I can see him getting the nod this weekend.

The cameo appearances have been impressive and he’s earned a chance to start a game.

Whether Clarke can have the same impact remains to be seen, though. He might be better running at tired legs.

George Harbey

I think he absolutely deserves a start.

He’s looked very impressive when he’s come off the bench and has a bright future ahead for sure.

I wouldn’t chuck him in for the Villa clash, but ahead of a hectic Christmas period, he deserves a start.
