With leaders Norwich City not playing until Wednesday, second placed Leeds United have the chance to leap-frog their rivals when they travel to the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday, to face a Reading side who are desperate to increase the gap between themselves and the Championship relegation zone.

Today though Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa will nervously be waiting for the news of a scan on striker Patrick Bamford's knee, after the 25-year-old picked up a knock whilst scoring the winner against Bristol City at the weekend, as reported in the YEP.

Though Bamford was able to soldier on, he was eventually substituted on 57 minutes, being replaced by Stuart Dallas.

So if Bamford is fit, should Bielsa start him for the trip to Reading?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

“100%.

“He’s a top class striker and if he’s fit, he has to play.

“He’s strode into the side and started scoring, just like I knew he would.

“He’ll get the into the top flight, given the chance.”

Jacob Potter

"He doesn't need to be risked.

"Leeds are taking on a Reading side that aren’t going to cause them many problems on the night.

"Bielsa can afford to rest him for this one, with more important fixtures on their mind."

Jay Taylor

“Of course, he should.

“Leeds are relying on Bamford to score the goals in Kemar Roofe’s absence, and if he is fit, then he needs to start.

“I don’t think there is a scenario that Bamford gets kept out the side at present.”
