‘He did okay’ – Plenty of Swansea City fans react to player’s display v Cardiff

Rhian Brewster made his Swansea City debut yesterday, in their 0-0 draw with Cardiff City in the Championship.
Neither Swansea or Cardiff has ever done the league double over each other, and that story will carry on into next season after the goalless draw at the Cardiff City Stadium yesterday.
Steve Cooper’s side looked the better in the first-half, and came the closest through Bersant Celina who’s effort curled past Alex Smithies and rebounded off the post.
Callum Paterson hit the bar for Cardiff in the second-half, capping an uneventful, but cagey Welsh derby.

Brewster played the whole 90-minutes for Swansea, leading the line on his own. It was the 19-year-old’s league debut having never featured in the Premier League for Liverpool, and Swans fans had plenty to say about his performance.
Here we take a look at the best reactions on Twitter to the Liverpool man’s debut yesterday:
Before people judge Brewster, bear in mind that it was a local derby away at the most physical team in the league. Don’t expect him to bang in the goals straight away

Brewster is gonna be fine. He had some good holdup play.

made some naive decisions at times but i appreciate the effort he put in up front. he was promising and will only get better also. think he and wayne should have been taken off but happy that he got the minutes under his belt

Brewster's played well imo, made good runs and he's been pressing the most but no service

It was a dreadful game for forwards to be honest. Like a Goodison Derby. He worked hard but will hopefully have more of the ball in good areas in other games.

Some good flick ons too but they’re not finding him when he’s making runs
