With two goals in two games, super-sub Marley Watkins has given his manager Lee Johnson plenty to think about ahead of Bristol City's visit to the Hawthorns to play West Bromwich Albion tonight.

The 27-year-old midfielder who arrived at Ashton Gate from Norwich City in the summer has had inconsistent start to the season, being subbed on and off over City's opening matches.

But will his latest goal-scoring performances be enough to get a start against the Baggies?

We discuss.....

Alfie Burns

He has to doesn’t he?

Watkins has two goals in two games and is making a big impact at Ashton Gate.

Lee Johnson can’t continue to ignore his influence.

Jay Taylor

After scoring the winner against Sheffield United last time out, he surely has to start.

Marley Watkins started the fixture just before the international break and scored too so it would be just rewards for his recent performances.

Lee Johnson needs to start Watkins against West Brom in my opinion.

George Dagless

Potentially.

He deserves a chance, given his performance at the weekend as the Robins look to go on a run.

The Robins have plenty of quality and Watkins will want to show he's good enough.

Gary Hutchinson

Yes and I think he will too.

Two goals in two games is a streak and it shows a player with confidence.

Often, strikers score goals in a spree, feeding from the success of the prior matches.

With that in mind, Johnson would be foolish not to give the 27-year old a start.
