On Thursday it was confirmed that Sunderland goalkeeper Jason Steele had left the Stadium of Light to move to Premier League Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 27-year-old signed a three-year contract at the Amex and will provide back-up to first-choice 'keeper Mat Ryan.

You would forgive Sunderland fans for being worried about Steele's departure. Afterall, it leaves them with only one goalkeeper at the club in the form of 31-year-old Robin Ruitter.

It's clearly a position that they need to prioritise strengthening.

But it is safe to say that the reaction from the Black Cats' fans have not exactly been mournful.

In Steele's 19 appearances for the club last season he was rather error-prone, with his mistakes costing the North East side some precious points.

So it is safe to say that they are surprised to see the shot-stopper secure himself a Premier League move. Here are some of their thoughts on the clubs' first choice 'keeper leaving the club.
