Leeds United are one of a few clubs interested in Birmingham City winger Viv Soloman-Otabor, according to All Nigeria Soccer.

West Ham and Derby are also reportedly keen on the young midfielder this summer.

Would he be a wise signing for Paul Heckingbottom's Leeds?

Jay Williams

With one year left on his Birmingham deal, Leeds can get him cheap.

But do they really want cheap wingers who are unlikely to push their current options out of the midfield?

If Solomon-Otabor has failed to break into the Birmingham team over the past few years, it is unlikely that he is the saviour Leeds are hoping for.

Ben Barkworth

Solomon-Otabor could be a good wide threat for Leeds to bring in because they are weak in that area in the first-team currently.

Although he would make Jack Clarke's route into the first-team harder unless Solomon-Otabor was used on the right which is his weaker position.

Alfie Burns

Five goals in League One this season is hardly an impressive return from the midfielder, and although he is just 22, I doubt he is an upgrade on what Leeds already have.

Obviously, Otabor has something about him, but I’m not sure Leeds need to be taking a risk on players this summer, they need experience.

He could just be another Hadi Sacko.

Chris Gallagher

He'd be a decent signing.

The 22-year old has impressed with Blackpool this season and is ready to make the step up. He's exciting to watch and would bring something different to the Leeds squad.

He might not be the well-known, proven player fans want but he has potential to be a good player.

Gary Hutchinson

He's done well in League One, the next step is naturally to the Championship.

Is the pressure-cooker atmosphere of Leeds United the best place for him? Maybe not, but if they're going to take a punt then it will be something he'll have to get used to.
