Birmingham City manager Garry Monk knows he has a job on his hands if he wishes to hold onto star striker Che Adams, with Southampton and Everton just two of the clubs keen on the 22-year-old hot-shot, according to The Sun.

Adams has been the outstanding performer for the Blues this season, with 22 goals and three assists in 41 appearances so far this season.

So with Southampton and Everton in the chase for Adams, which club would be a better fit for the player?

We discuss........

Gary Hutchinson

“Everton would be a good fit, but both are suitable.

“He needs to be in that ‘mid range’ side, not an occasional sub for a top team, but not relegation fodder either.

“Everton are the bigger club and have better players, so I think he’d thrive there.”

Jacob Potter

"I think he’d be better suited going to Southampton.

"The main reason for that is that competition for a starting spot at St Mary’s isn’t as competitive as it is at Everton.

"Adams needs to be guaranteed first-team football on a regular basis, and I think he could do well in the Southampton team if he was to sign for them in the summer.

"It could be the perfect platform to progress in his career."

George Harbey

"I think he could certainly do a job for Everton.

"The Toffees are missing a goalscorer up front, and I think Adams is definitely capable of making the step-up to the Premier League next season.

"He possesses real pace and power up front and has an eye for goal that would fit right into the top-flight."
