Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa could face competition from Brighton in the chase to sign 17-year-old Polish midfielder Mateusz Bogusz from Ruch Chorzow in the Polish second tier, according to a report on Przeglad Sportowy.

The youngster is out of contract at the end of the season and though there is a new contract on the table, the player is on the radar of a number of clubs so could well be looking for a move away.

So would Bogusz be a good signing for Leeds?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

I will be honest, I have no idea.

I have never heard of the guy, but he is certainly very highly-rated in Poland so why not go for him?

He could be the next Klich.

Jacob Potter

It’s an interesting move.

At such a young age, many would consider this one a real risk for the Whites, but Bielsa has already shown that he can get the best out of players at the club, and he could certainly do that with Bogusz.

If this gamble pays off, then he could play a starring role in Leeds’ future.

George Harbey

Bogusz looks like a really promising player who could be a fantastic addition for Leeds in the long-term.

He’s already contributing to a fair share of goals in the Polish league, which shows how effective he is at just 17 years old.

Bielsa knows what he is doing.

Alfie Burns

It could certainly be good for the Whites in the future, but right now, he’s not going to boost their promotion push.

Whilst this could be outstanding business in the future, the Elland Road faithful want to see senior players brought in to get them to the Premier League.

Long-term planning is no bad thing, but Leeds need to have eyes on their short-term goal.
