QPR face a battle to hold onto 28-year-old defender Toni Leistner, who is a transfer target of both Cardiff City and Aston Villa according to a report on Football Insider, after an impressive first season at Loftus Road.
Leistner arrived in the summer as a free-agent having played 115 times for Union Berlin and has become a regular under Steve McClaren this season.
But with clubs circling, how much is Leistner currently worth?
We discuss.....
Jacob Potter
"He can’t be worth more than £5m?
"Any proven Championship level defender is going to be worth a fair bit, and Villa shouldn’t be paying more than £5m for him.
"Anything more than £5m and they’re overpaying."
Jay Taylor
“Considering he is 28, I think around the £6million mark I would suggest is an acceptable amount.
“He isn’t getting younger but being in the prime of his career and being a leader on the pitch work in his favour.
“A typical Neil Warnock signing if ever I saw one.”
Gary Hutchinson
“Would it be derogatory to say ‘not all that much’?
“He might be worth £3m, perhaps.
“He’s been decent in a poor team, but he’s not outstanding.
“It’s potential they’re paying for as much as anything.”
Alfie Burns
“Queens Park Rangers are going to push for as much as possible, but £5m might be a bit steep.
“For me, somewhere between £2-4m given his year of football.
“The R’s haven’t been outstanding, but he’s been one of their better performers.”
