Hal Robson-Kanu will be hoping to make only his second league start of the season for West Bromwich Albion this weekend, as they prepare to take on Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

The 30-year-old made another impressive impact after coming off the bench on Monday night, scoring in the 2-0 win over Stoke City.

The Wales international came on as a late substitute and replaced Charlie Austin, before scoring from the penalty spot just moments later.

Robson-Kanu has now scored three goals in his last four games for Slaven Bilic's side, and the Croatian said in his post-match press conference that he is "knocking" on the door for a starting berth.

Football League World's West Brom fan pundit, Sarah Rudge, has offered her thoughts on Robson-Kanu's chances of starting for the Baggies, hailing his performance against the Potters.

"Robson-Kanu did very well when he came on against Stoke. He appears to be gaining the title of ‘super sub’. Whenever he comes off the bench he always has an impact on the team and contributes to the game.

"However, when he started against Leeds United he didn’t have the same effect, although Elland Road is one of the toughest places in the division to go to.

"Against Stoke he held the ball up well, pushed us forward and slotted the penalty away with real composure. If he could play as well from the start as he does when he is a substitute, we would have a real player on our hands!"

Charlie Austin has struggled to make an impact since arriving from Southampton in the summer, finding the net just once in the Championship.

Analysing what Robson-Kanu brings differently to the team to what Austin does, Rudge said: "Robson-Kanu isn’t the most natural finisher and if there was a choice as to who you would prefer in the penalty area to score a goal it would be Charlie Austin.

"However, perhaps due to age and with Austin having never been the quickest of strikers, he isn’t always the most mobile. The Welshman brings an intensity and his first touch at times can be very good and allows him to bring our other attacking forwards into play.

"He links the midfield and forward areas better than Austin does at times and also runs the channels more than the other two strikers we have."

West Brom will be looking to secure back-to-back wins and pick from where they left off against Stoke, as they prepare to take on the Tigers this weekend.

After another impressive cameo off the bench, West Brom fans have urged Bilic to start Robson-Kanu as he continues to take his chances - but Rudge admits that she would give Kenneth Zohore the chance to start.

Our regular punter said: "Not for me, no. I’m not sure he would be able to replicate the same form that he does when he is introduced from the bench. Kenneth Zohore is now fit again and it might be the right time to start our £8million man.

"Unfortunately with Charlie Austin, despite his workrate and endeavour, it really isn’t happening for him in front of goal. Whether it be due to a lack of confidence or fitness, nobody knows, but with his barren run continuing, Zohore deserves his chance in the team."
