The East Anglian Daily Times claim that a number of Championship sides are interested in signing Kayden Jackson, with the talks over a new contract for the striker recently stalling.
The 26-year-old arrived at Portman Road from Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2018, on the back of scoring 16 goals for John Coleman’s side as they won promotion from League Two.
Jackson only managed to find the net four times for Ipswich in the Championship last season, but he has since become a key player under Paul Lambert following their relegation to League One.
Are these 13 Ipswich Town facts true or false?
The forward is Town’s joint-leading goalscorer with 11 strikes to his name, and has also chipped in with seven assists despite Ipswich’s hopes of a play-off finish diminishing.
But talks over a new deal for Jackson, which have been going on for quite some time, have recently stalled, and the East Anglian Daily Times claim that Championship sides are eyeing up the forward.
Jackson still has another year left on his contract at Portman Road and the club hold the option to extend it by another year, but whether they are forced into selling him remains to be seen.
Here, we take a look at Ipswich Town fans’ reactions to this latest update…
Dangerous move for Jackson. No where near good enough for championship. League 1 his level. But can’t fault him for having ambitions of playing at a higher level if that’s the case. If it’s money then good riddance

Not that fussed don’t rate him very highly… if he wasn’t quick he wouldn’t even be a footballer.

He’s not good enough for league 1 let alone the championship

As he’s effectively under contract for the next 2 seasons I’m relaxed about this. Not sure the transfer market exists at all right now so he isn’t going anywhere is a hurry.

He ain't going anywhere

Why I think he’s done ok this season .
also James Norwood has been playing injures this season .
So hopefully both fit next season will be a different proposition

Jackson will stay a blue 💙🚜 not sure about Wolfy and Downes though

Had a cracking season but with Dobra, Lankester, Sears, Edwards available to play wide and Bishop, El Miz, Judge all no.10s the squad points to a 4-3-3. Jackson improved as a lone striker but Norwood is the obvious one in that system so taking a good offer could make sense.

Evans would surely want a fee of 2-3 million quid to make a profit on what we paid for him and the way football is right now I'm not convinced a championship club would take a punt on a player for that kind of cash who struggled when we were in the championship.
