Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack's future is in limbo.

Having enjoyed a fantastic spell in Australia with Melbourne City, the 31-year-old now finds himself back at Villa Park, and nowhere near Steve Bruce's first-team plans.

The forward did of course ply his trade at Leeds United back from 2010 to 2014, and he enjoyed a prolific few years at Elland Road.

The Whites currently operate with Pierre-Michel Lasogga as their main number nine, and he's been relatively inconsistent with his goalscoring this season.

It begs the question, would Aston Villa outcast Ross McCormack get into the current Leeds United starting eleven?

We discuss...

Adam Simeoni

With the form he is in he could easily make himself the number on striker at Elland Road.

Lasogga may be finding some form, but McCormack would be in line to start had he made the switch to Leeds.

George Dagless

He'd have a chance.

McCormack has had his troubles at Villa but in a lot of places he's been he's been very very good.

If he produced that kind of form for Leeds he'd certainly have a chance of starting for them.

Alfie Burns

Forget a miserable spell at Villa – he absolutely would.

McCormack has more quality than any striker currently at Leeds and can score goals in the Championship if given the right service.

You could argue he wouldn’t fit into Leeds’ system, but the fact is if he was at Elland Road now, he’d be a starter.

Sam Preston

Not for me, he just doesn't seem like he would be on the same wave length as Leeds' other forwards.

Him just behind Lasogga, with Pablo Hernandez on one wing would leave Leeds lacking anywhere near enough pace to trouble teams.

Also, McCormack has had attitude problems in the past, clashing with Steve Bruce, which is the last thing Leeds need right now.
