‘Have to sort it out’ – Plenty of Swansea fans were left fuming after controversial Fulham defeat

Fulham beat Swansea City 1-0 in the Championship last night.
Steve Cooper’s side gave one of their best away performances of the season. They travelled to Craven Cottage having lost one of their last five in the league, and scoring seven in their last two games.
It was an even game despite Fulham having more of the ball, and more shots on goal, but Swansea fans were left reeling at the refereeing on display last night – they had several strong penalty claims waved away.
Insult was added to injury when Fulham were awarded a penalty themselves in the 89th-minute. Aleksandar Mitrovic stepped up, looking for his 23rd goal of the season, but was kept out by a flying Freddie Woodman.
Though as the Serb so often does, he found a way through in the 93rd-minute, sealing the win and taking Fulham back up to 3rd.

Swansea fans had no complaints over their side’s performance last night, but had plenty about the officiating:
Everyone gets robbed in this league get over it boys

Robbed, pure and simple. 3 great shouts for penalties, not given. Atrocious refereeing.

We’ve been absolutely robbed by more English refereeing again! The pen for them was a disgrace. We should of had one and the goal came from a foul. Absolutely joke can’t tell you in words how mad that’s made me tbh

Unlucky lads, fantastic performance against the 12 men of Fulham tonight….
Heads held high for all of you.— Phil 🦢🏴 (@sometimesriding) February 26, 2020
For our lads to put in a shift like that and be robbed of a result because of pathetic officiating is just sickening. Week after week the officials are just not capable of being in charge of matches, @EFL have to sort it out

Solid defensive display and Freddie Woodman penalty save was outstanding only to be robbed by a Fulham Fan in black @EFL

There’s no other word for it apart from “cheating,” the lads played outstanding tonight, defended brilliantly from the off and we were very unlucky not to score ourselves, I cba to start about the ref cause I’m too tired and angry
