A number of Cardiff City supporters have been suggesting that Neil Harris’ time in charge of the Bluebirds could have come to an end following their latest setback in their 3-2 defeat at home to Brentford.
Cardiff headed into the game needing to pick up all three points to close the gap on the Bees and the teams above them in and around the play-off places. However, despite taking the lead through a stunning strike from Will Vaulks, Harris’ side were unable to pick up a positive result that could have relieved some of the pressure forming on the Bluebirds boss.
It has been stated by Mehmet Dalman that he would ‘disappointed’ if the Bluebirds were not in the play-off places by January, and the defeat against Brentford means that Harris’ side will fall short of that target by the time the New Year comes around. That could see the Cardiff boss come under some pressure over the next few weeks.
Quiz: Did these 20 things happen to Cardiff City in 2020?
The defeat against Brentford means that Cardiff have picked up just eight wins in 21 Championship matches and have now suffered three defeats in their last four. That could prove to be a real issue for Harris who will be needing results to swiftly turn around if he is to survive.
Many Cardiff fans already believe that his time should now be up, with some calling for the club to take the action of parting company with him if they have any chance of getting their campaign back on track over the next few weeks.
Here then, we take a look at some of the reactions on social media…
Can’t disagree. Harris rightly under pressure. https://t.co/cw86zFcklG

Ive said it before, the 2 late goals against Birmingham saved his bacon that night , Brentford Swansea and Watford are all better than us , it's over to the board now but with no money in Jan something needs to change , and that's probably going to be Harris

Wonder how much longer Neil Harris has got

Agreed -had a good shape 1st half melted backing off 2nd- JH/Bennett linked up well Vaulks Ralls battled – badly missing Moore but what were Smithies and Wilson up to today both v poor – Harris in charge ain't the answer never has been – and those commentators depressed enough ta

We continue to look void of ideas under Harris, overly negative and absolutely no idea how he wants this team to play. 8 wins is an appalling return with nearly 50% of the season gone. We’re not going up, probably not going down – make the change now.

100% right. For me I look at December last year and those torrid games vs millwall and Preston and we haven’t moved on an inch. And to be 10 points behind swansea as a measure is not acceptable with this squad. Time to move on sadly

With only Wycombe in the league until mid Jan , the change of manager needs to happen now.
Someone we can believe in , not the insipid performances we have seen so much of this season from NH team
Going into the season with only 1 RB was inconcievable and also weakend midfield.

The board have to act now. That penalty save at Stoke is the worst thing to happen to us, he would have been long gone. If we’re persisting with Harris then terminate Wilson and Ojos loans and give youth a chance. We’re not doing anything this season so it’s a waste of money.
